Why Your Webinar Registration Page Is Losing Sign-Ups You Already Paid For
By KatchT Team
By the time someone lands on your webinar registration page, you've already paid for the click — through ad spend, an email send, or a sponsored post. Every registration you lose at that page is money you spent to lose, not money you never spent at all.
The headline doesn't answer "what's in it for me"
A registration page headline that describes the event ("Q3 Product Update Webinar") instead of the outcome ("See the 3 features your team asked for, live") makes a visitor work to figure out why they should care. That extra step is where a lot of drop-off happens.
The form asks for more than it needs
Every additional field between "interested" and "registered" is a chance to lose someone. Job title, company size, and phone number might matter to sales later — but on the registration page itself, they're friction between the visitor and the yes.
The CTA is buried below the fold
If someone has to scroll to find the button that registers them, some percentage of them simply won't. On mobile especially, the primary action should be visible without any scrolling at all.
Nothing on the page tells a phone it's a phone
A page that renders fine on a laptop can still have a squeezed form, a tiny tap target, or text that requires zooming on a phone — and a large share of webinar traffic from social and email arrives on mobile.
Nobody's actually looked at the page since it launched
Registration pages get built once and rarely revisited, even as the offer, the speaker, or the audience changes. A page that converted well in Q1 can quietly stop working by Q3 without anyone noticing until registrations dip.
